Everything you need to know about using RentWithMe.ai — from browsing apartments to signing a lease.

Step 1

Browse & Search Rentals

Go to /rentals
Browse all available NYC apartments. Use the search bar at the top to filter by neighborhood, address, or borough.

Filter results
Results sort automatically — units with real photos appear first. Available units appear before others.

View details
Click "View Details" on any card to open the full unit page with images, specs, amenities, and location.

Step 2

Find a listing
Open any unit's detail page at /rentals/[id].

Click "Request Info"
This opens the Request Info page for that specific unit.

Fill the form
Enter your name, email, phone, and any questions about price, availability, or fees.

Submit
Your inquiry is sent to the leasing team. A team member will follow up by email or phone, typically within one business day.

Step 3

Open a listing
Navigate to any unit's detail page.

Click "Schedule Tour"
This opens the Schedule Tour page, or click "Request Tour" directly from the listings grid for a quick modal.

Pick your dates
Select your preferred dates and times for viewing the apartment.

Submit
The team receives your request, confirms building access and timing, and follows up to confirm your appointment.

Step 4

Register an account
Go to /register and create your account with your name, email, password, and a profile photo.

Wait for approval
An admin reviews your registration and grants access. You'll receive confirmation via email.

Complete your profile
Once approved, fill in your Renter Profile with household size, income, move-in timeline, preferred neighborhoods, and amenity requirements.

Get AI-matched
The AI uses your profile to surface the best-fit listings and rank them by match score on the /renters page.

Step 5

Tour the apartment
After visiting and deciding you want to apply, proceed to the application step.

Complete the Tenant Application
Fill in personal details, employment and income information, references, and household members.

Background & credit check
The landlord or broker will run a credit and background check as part of the review process.

Await approval
If approved, you will be contacted to review lease terms, pay the security deposit, and sign the lease — officially becoming a Tenant.

Step 6

My Profile (/user/profile)
View and update your name, profile photo, and account details. Click your avatar in the top-right navbar to access it.

Dashboard (/user/dashboard)
Your home base — quick links to browse listings, AI matching, and your active inquiries.

Change photo
On the Profile page, click the pencil icon on your avatar to upload a new profile photo. Stored securely in Backblaze B2.
4
Log Out
Click your avatar → Log Out to securely end your session.
